I took a short class yesterday on nighttime cityscapes. It was so fun to be in the city without children -- and also good to get out of my photography comfort zone. 2 views of the Union Square neighborhood:
One assignment required us to approach someone and request a portrait. This aspect of street photography has always terrified me, but thanks to this class I think I will be doing this more often. I did get turned down twice, but finally found a taker. Thank you, kind sir.
Washington Square. It looks like a Christmas tree is going up in front of the arch. Now I have a reason to go back next week!
